When I realised how awesome everything was going

I'd just like to make a note on how gosh darn well everything is going right now. My job is sweet: I have FIVE game consoles on my desk at work which I NEED to play on almost a daily basis. The people I have met at work are awesome, they're just as far from sane as I am and in particular my dear husband Helen who works alongside me is just fantastic. She puts up with all the weird stuff I do, in fact she likes it just as much as I like her own similarly peculiar personality so we make a POWERFUL (if somewhat crazy) TEAM. Our bosses are ace. James, our manager, is such a great mentor and we're so lucky to be able to be learning from him cause he's so fun and friendly! On Thursdays the ice cream lady comes to our office to bring ice cream to our desks and I even got to attend a Q&A session with BOB IGER! (For those of you who don't know, Bob is the supreme president of the ENTIRE Disney corporation including ESPN and ABC and all that other stuff that Disney owns which is a LOT.) But whilst all of this awesomeness and excitement is being injected constantly into my system, I still miss my friends in Middlesbrough and it's lame that I didn't even get to say good bye to all of them properly because everything was so rushed, and most of them have been really supportive and they are happy for me which means a lot to me. So thank you guys. I miss the Tracey-Cakes...

When I attended three gigs in one week

In my first week of London I managed to go to three sweet gigs in one week. I saw TV on the Radio on Monday, Lady Gaga on Tuesday and the Super Furry Animals on Saturday last week. All three of these were fun but in VERY different ways. I have to say, at some points during the Lady Gaga concert I felt like she had violated my brain...in a good way...? The Super Furries and TOTR were much more down to earth in their awesomeness and there was even a guest appearance by Franz Ferdinand's Nick McCarthy, albeit a cardboard one...

When I thought my computer was haunted

We had an office boat party last week, up and down the Thames drinking and dancing. FUN. So the next day I was a little worse for ware and was a tad late for work. When I sat down at my computer to work I noticed the mouse kept moving off in silly directions. I sat and watched it for a minute as it moved around the screen all by itself, then tried to show it to people but every time I tried to show someone it would stop moving. It kept on moving around and I became rather freaked out and thought my computer was haunted while my colleagues looked on saying that I was just going insane. I typed in "Who is controlling my computer? Please move the mouse again." and the mouse moved again instantly and I almost leapt out of my seat, but my colleagues weren't looking then either. Finally, once I had almost convinced myself that I was in fact crazy, my manager revealed that it was him the whole time and that it was a prank for being late for work. He then pointed out that Bolt wasn't sitting at my desk and after searching in vain for him I got back to work only to discover later that Bolt was hanging from the ceiling by his tail. POOR MINI-BOLT! I had to climb up onto my desk to get him down.

When I felt up the Jonas brothers

I started work at Disney three days ago and so far it's been pretty freakin sweet. I went into work on Monday and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I got settled in and put to work. I have a nifty Disney ID card which gives me big fat discounts at the Disney Store and other Disney related things, this means I can buys hundreds of camp rock Jonas brothers goodies at minimum prices! Speaking of which, myself and the other newbie Helen had to get our pictures taken next to cardboard cut outs of some Disney characters so that the pics could be posted around so that people could recognise us. I was in such a joyous mood I bounced up to the big cardboard Jonas brothers and got a pic taken without realising that my hand was set dangerously close to Kevin Jonas's crotch. Walking round the office later being introduced to people I was greeted with 'oh yeah you're the one who had her hand on the Jonas brother's...you know whats.' So now having been christened the girl who wants to feel up the Jonas brothers I reckon I am well and truly on my way to making many friends here at Disney...

When I moved to London

For those of you who haven't been in touch with me recently, I have relocated from Middlesbrough to London to start my year long placement at Disney Interactive Studios. I found a place to live just last week and I moved in on Saturday. I live with three super friendly happy Aussies and will most likely have picked up their accent by mid to late november this year. It's a nice little flat in White City on the west side of London. Interestingly, my flat is part of a large block of apartment buildings which make up the old Olympic Village. It's where all of the athletes lived during the 1948 Olympic Games. THIS IS AN INTERESTING HISTORIC SITE AND THEREFORE MAKES THE RIDICULOUS PRICE I PAY FOR RENT ACCEPTABLE.

When I started blogging

So.

I have decided to start a blog sorta thing. This is because I am well aware of how rubbish I am at keeping people up to date on the goings on in my life. This is not because I'm lazy or I don't want people prying, it's simply because I'm a forgetful nitwit. Heck if you've ever called me up for a chat and asked me 'what's going on with you?' then I will have almost always responded with 'uhhh...hmm..um nothing really.' As soon as I put the phone down I will have instantly remembered how I bumped into the Queen on a train to Redcar or how I managed to single handedly save a cat from a burning ferris wheel (or other similarily moderately interesting incidents).

So if you happen to be bored (perhaps it's the five minute break between the Simpsons and Hollyoaks and you simply don't know what to do with your time) go ahead and take a browse at what's going on with me. I'll try updating it every so often with stories and maybe pictures and things, so feel free to leave comments or just say hi! Also, if you want to contact me in the real world, the best method is via text as my phone has a tendancy to forward my calls to a voicemail without notifying me...
