When I broke my iPhone and fixed it

Time for an anti-Apple rant yay! Okay so as we all know, Macs are terrible and PCs are supreme, but that's not what this is about. This is about Apple trying to charge me £140 pounds to repair a CRACKED SCREEN! AAaaghhh! Who let's this company get away with this? YOU. You do you dirty Mac user. You're probably viewing this on Safari right now aren't you? Go throw your hard earned cash at a shiny new iPad and enjoy the 10 minutes of satisfaction you get from pretending you have been shrunk and are using a giant iPhone to call people. Anyway back to the matter at hand, £140! So I was ALMOST duped into coughing this up, when I decided to have a look online for a cheaper third party repairer I discovered it was going to cost me around £40. Hmm, tempting. Eventually I found a screen and repair kit for under a tenner on ebay, teamed that with a Youtube repair video and VOILA! Fixed iPhone for £9.95! Ok sure it wasn't the easiest repair ever, I had to risk melting the device with a hairdryer and I'm pretty sure I still have glass embedded in my fingertips, but I did save £130...and my dignity.
